1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using cue-play (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old.

2. What cue-play is

cue-play is a two-sided marketplace that connects people who want to book DJs/artists ("Hirees") with DJs/artists ("DJs"). cue-play is a venue for these connections — it is not the employer, promoter, or performer, and is not a party to any booking agreement between a Hiree and a DJ. The agreement for a performance is solely between the Hiree and the DJ.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
You may not impersonate others, create accounts by automated means, or use the Platform if previously banned.

4. Bookings & payments

Hirees and DJs agree an amount in the Platform's chat, then the Hiree pays through our payment processor, Stripe.
cue-play charges a platform fee of 8% of the agreed amount. The remainder is paid out to the DJ via Stripe Connect. DJs must complete Stripe's onboarding to receive payouts.
Card details are handled entirely by Stripe; cue-play does not store them. Payments are also subject to Stripe's terms.
Taxes (e.g. VAT/income tax) on a DJ's earnings are the DJ's own responsibility.

5. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

No fraud, scams, illegal activity, harassment, hateful, or infringing content.
No fee circumvention: using cue-play to find each other and then deliberately taking the booking and payment off-platform to avoid the fee is a breach of these Terms.
No scraping, reverse engineering, or disrupting the Platform.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload (profile, photos, messages). You grant cue-play a non-exclusive licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Platform. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you upload.

8. Disputes between users

Disputes about a performance, payment, or no-show are primarily between the Hiree and the DJ. cue-play may, at its discretion, help mediate or issue refunds per the Refund Policy, but is not obliged to and is not liable for the parties' conduct.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. cue-play does not guarantee any DJ's performance or any Hiree's payment, conduct, or the quality, safety, or legality of any booking.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, cue-play is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees you paid us in the [3] months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using cue-play at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or harm the Platform or its users.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use means acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY/JURISDICTION], and disputes are subject to the courts of [JURISDICTION].
